Race Meetings are held throughout the year at circuits around the country, usually in conjunction with motorcycle racing. A Race meeting is a great day out to enjoy seeing scooters and riders racing flat out! Its an exciting spectacle for all the family. The British Scooter Sport Organisation are an ACU Non Territorial club, and organise Scooter Sport Events Throughout the United Kingdom, for all makes and sizes of scooters, Automatic or Classic, Solo or Sidecar. These High Speed Racing events at many of the UK's best known race circuits. Scooters have been in competition throughout the world since their creation. Scooter sport in the UK started in the late 1960's and has been introducing young riders to motor sport since then. Many big names have an interest in Scooters, Sir Stirling Moss, Jamie Oliver and others in the modern world. Scooters are a fashion and cult statement and being that many big stars like to be seen with the popular scooter. In sporting events we have had James Toseland, Leon Haslam, on Automatic 70cc scooters doing battle. The BSSO cater for ALL types of scooters in sporting events.
