Members Photos Feel free to browse through my photos below. You can click on any image thumbnail to expand it. The first set is from Stevie and Tracey that they saw on there recent trip ! The Vespa Ape van was in a wee mountain town called Castlevetro. There`s a picture of me standing outside the village scooter shop in Castlevetro in front of a 1960`s Brighton poster. If you look closely enough you can see a notice for The Vespa Club of Marranello in the picture. Maranello is of course the home of Ferrarri , and no we didn`t buy one. This scooter shop was closed , however the 2 mechanics were working on a P range and they let us in for a few minutes to have a look around. I didn`t have my camera as it was in the car (bollocks) but the guy had an original LD , 2 x minted Vespa GS `s , a Lambretta J50 ,a Vespa TS minted , 2 x P200 E & 2 small frame Vespas` one of which had been resprayed and was immaculate. Theres a foto of me and Tracey on a P 200 E , it belongs to an old guy called Enzo who also has a collection of old m/cycles including a 1933 Benelli 500 thats priceless,4 x Moto Guzzi , 1 Harley Sportster & 2 others that were wrapped up for storeage. The ' plastic' Lambretta is actually a far eastern scooter ( Chinese ? ) imported into Italy and badged as a Lambretta Pato , these fotos were taken in Milan. You can see more of this model via google and enter Lambretta Pato - Scootering Magazine did a wee piece on it not too long ago. The Turquoise Lambretta GP was sadly the only REAL Lambretta that we actually saw out on the streets , it was also in Milan. The Vespa GTS 300 ie was also in Milan , I nearly pished my pants when we saw it as im now after 1 of these myself instead of a GTS 250. It only had 679 km on the clock. There were literally thousands of other Piaggio / Vespa scooters too ranging from immaculate to totaly bin jobs . And when you see the driving in Milan you know why. |
