THE VESPA CLUB OF BRITAIN (V.C.B) Is The Oldest Continualy running Scooter Club In The United Kingdom. VESPA CLUB OF STIRLING (Scotland) Is An Affiliated Branch Of Vespa Club Of Britain. In 1958 A Group Of Local Vespa Enthusiasts Had A Meeting In The Station Hotel Stirling, Formed The Vespa Club Of Stirling And Was Accepted In To V.C.B, They Then Became Branch 106. Some of the main arcitects of the founding of V.C.Stirling - Walter Wilson (Vespa Sales Manager Rossleigh's Garage Stirling) Chic & Evelyn Wotherspoon,David & Grace Traill,(Grace was the 1st female member who owned and rode Her own Vespa 150cc.Clubman) Jimmy Rosie, Bill Cairns, Neil Young 24/09/1933 - 28/05/2008, Janet Young, William Jamison 30/01/1930 - 04/04/2007 The club wained in the late 60s. The town/city of Stirling still had vespa and lambretta enthusiasts who eventually re-grouped once again into a recognised scooter club 1982 under the name the Gorehounds. When William Jamison died the Gorehounds made sure that his cortege was escorted by scooters. William's family donated to the Gorehounds a wealth of scootering memrobilia that he had collected and kept up until the day of his death.  Members of the Gorehounds conceived the idea of reinstating the Vespa club of Stirling back to life of which we give our heart-felt appreciation. The vespa club of Stirling meets up every Sunday around 12.30 noon at Cape 1 Corn Exchange Road Stirling, Stirlingshire FK8 2HX Scotland Phone: 01786 461041 with the Gorehounds Scooter Club new members are welcome
